Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM)

October is the designated month for the national observance of Domestic Violence Awareness. This observnce celebrates those who have survived domestic violence, remembers those that have died as a result and connects with advocates who work to end violence. During the month, a week or month of events are conducted to raise awareness.

 

 

Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)

April is the designated month for the national observance of Sexual Assault Awareness. This observance is dedicated to raising awareness of sexual assault through special events that are held throughout the month. Campuses sponsor events such as The CLothes Line Project and Take Back The Night March.

 

 

Stalking Awareness Month (SAM)

January is the designated month for the national observance of Stalking Awareness. This observance is dedicated to unifying victim service providers across the country to raise awareness about this crime. During this month, campuses distribute materials, work with public officials on proclamations, hold events or trainings or organize activities that raise awareness.
