Presently, twenty-nine UNCF member colleges and universities
are actively participating in Project STOP NOW!

|
THE CRITERIA
For an institution to be a part of this initiative, it has to be a member of UNCF. After receipt of approval from the President of the college, a representative, preferably from the Office of Student Affairs, is appointed to act as the on-site campus coordinator for the program. The representative is the liaison between the college and the lead institution. The representative will be responsible for attending mandatory training and carrying out the duties as delegated by the lead institution. As a sub-grantee, the participating institutions are to perform the following duties through the aid of technical assistance provided by the lead institution:
- Attend all mandatory training and conferences hosted by the lead institution.
- Establish a relationship with at least one (1) local victim services provider and/or local law enforcement agency.
- Participate in violence against women awareness programs for incoming students, faculty, and staff.
- Revise or implement policies regarding violence against women on campus to be incorporated into the campus Student Handbook.
- Conduct training for judicial board members to respond effectively to violent crimes committed against women on UNCF college campuses.
- Conduct participation in the performance evaluation and data collection for the project.
